Hyacinth Macaw for sale

Hyacinth Macaw for sale – The hyacinth macaw, also called the hyacinthine macaw or the blue macaw, is the biggest bird in the macaw family, and the greatest of the flying parrot species.

Probably the most significant features of the hyacinth macaw is the spectacular cobalt blue color all over its body, with a ring of vibrant yellow around its eye and the same color yellow at the foundation and the edges of its beak. This is why it is sometimes referred to as a “blue macaw.” These pet birds are gorgeous! The Scarlet Macaw is also fancy and a well-known species of parrot! They are found in Central and South America in Brazil.

Hyacinth Macaws nest in tree major or cliff faces between July and December, lounging one to two eggs (although usually only one chick survives to fledging). The female alone incubates, and the male brings her food during that month-long period. Chicks fledge at about 110 days of age, but will stay with the parents for at least another six months. Hyacinth Macaws do not become completely mature and able to reproduce until seven years of age.

These smart, social birds collect in flocks of up to 30 individuals, making use of their noisy squawks and screams to preserve in feel with each other in the dense rainforest canopy. They travel long miles daily in search of the many nuts and fruit that make up their diet. Hyacinth Macaws include big, powerful beaks that can crack into even the hardest nuts, giving them entry to a food options few other animals can exploit. Macaws are also occasionally seen eating damp clay off open cliff faces, perhaps to neutralize noxious chemicals from the fruits and nuts that might otherwise both their stomachs.
